IT Coordinator (fixed term contract 7th – 21st July)

iLUKA Collective is hiring a 1st/2nd line tech, the role will be supporting our delivery of a project in New York this summer. The majority of the day will be end user device support, asset management, some light network skills The idea candidate must have a good customer service understanding and knowledge of how tech works in an event context.


Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience supporting Windows 11, iOS, and Android devices in a fast-paced environment.

  • Competent with Microsoft 365 suite, including Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.

  • Basic networking skills, ideally Cisco, including troubleshooting wired and wireless networks.

  • Asset management experience: tracking, deploying, and maintaining hardware and software inventories.

  • Understanding of event technology workflows – what works in live events, temporary setups, and high-pressure situations.

  • Strong customer service skills: able to explain technical issues to non-technical users clearly.

  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical work: moving and setting up hardware, cabling, racks, and temporary infrastructure in live event environments.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in live events, exhibitions, or similar fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to troubleshoot remotely and adapt quickly when conditions aren’t ideal.

  • Reliable, organised, and detail-oriented.

  • Quick learner with a practical and self-driven approach to problem-solving.

  • Available for onsite work with non-standard hours, often in difficult conditions (rooftops, venues, live setups).

  • Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving equipment, running and taping down cables, and mounting IT infrastructure as required on site.
